Today we want to introduce you Solomiia Khomiak, a student at Ivan Franko Lviv National University in Ukraine, who recently finished her Erasmus+ experience as  KYC Analyst.

Her tasks included customer screening, sanctions screening, and risk screening. During the internship, she honed her analytical skills, ability to notice details, negotiation skills, and English language proficiency. She credits her amazing team and supportive manager for her successful internship.`` I had a perfect team and so nice manager. I’m very grateful for their help and support ` While the initial adaptation period proved challenging, Solomiia highlights teambuilding events, team meetings, and company parties as the most enjoyable aspects of her work life.

Solomiia particularly enjoyed exploring Slovakia. `I liked traveling in Slovakia the most. Their culture differs from Ukrainian, for example, that they have a slow rhythm of life and hiking is their favorite hobby``

Solomiia generously commends our Placement Slovakia team and we are grateful for it. `During my internship, your team supported me, answered my questions, and helped me with documents. Thanks a lot????`

Solomiia enthusiastically recommends the Placement Slovakia program to other students. She shares some valuable advice for future interns: ` Don’t worry, Placement will help you in everything.  Be confident. There are no stupid questions, if you don't understand something, you can always ask. Be yourself ``

Solomiia highlights meeting wonderful people and traveling to beautiful places as the most rewarding aspects of her internship. “ And also it was my first experience working in a big company and it was successful. I was most worried about meeting my new neighbors and colleagues. But I became part of the team and met nice people. So you just have to be consistent and open”

Solomiia's immediate priority is to complete her bachelor's thesis and graduate, perhaps continue with a master's studies. We wish Solomiia all the best and hope that this Erasmus experience will be a successful starting point in her career.
